Cyphaspis elachopos
Silurian, Homerian, Wenlock series
Malvern, Worcestershire, U.K
This specimen has been prepared to the highest standard and is a complete Cyphaspis with extremely long axial and genal spines. I have only seen a handful of Cyphaspis from this location. It is a smaller specimen but extremely rare. Specimens from this location are found by breaking the nodule and looking for cross sections of the Trilobite (much the same as Moroccan specimens) there is a break lone near to the Axial spine which can be seen on the photos
The specimen measures approximately 1.2cm in length
