Cervus elaphus

Wyke Regis, Dorset, U.K
This is a large axis vertebra from a Red Deer that was found on the fleet near Wyke Regis in Dorset. The Pleistocene remains are known of from this area and it would have been washed down by the tide to Wyke Regis. An unusual and rare location for Pleistocene remains.
The specimen measures 121mm in length
