This is a very rare armoured fish from the Devonian which was found by splitting the rock, the two parts were then glued back together and the fish prepared using pneumatic tools, as such there is relief to the fossil and the plates that make up the fish have their full texture and shape. Previously specimens were sold as split pairs and although this process is longer the results are much better. A rare and interesting specimen.

The fish measure 10.1 cm in length. The matrix 18 x 12.5cm and it weighs just under 1.5kg
